How-to play Clue Master Detective with 2-players

Published by todayblog2 at 11:10 am under Uncategorized Edit This

Clue Master Detective is famously boring when there are only two players. To spice things up, here’s a quick game mod idea:

There are 30 cards total. After selecting and placing the three cards in the confidential envelope, we are left with 27 cards to divvy up between the two-players. Instead of dispersing the 27 between two-players, create a spot for an imaginary “player 3″. Player 3 will receive 5 cards, and players 1 and 2 will receive 11 cards each. The only way player 3’s cards can be revealed is via peeking. When a player lands on a peek square, they may elect to peek either opponent’s cards. Otherwise, all other rules remain the same.

This idea can also be extended to work with other versions of Clue.  Scratch that, because Clue Master Detective is the only version with snoop/peek squares.
